This happen right here in my hometown, where a “good gal with a gun” made sure a bad guy didn’t make a victim out of her.
A 23-year-old woman was going into a convenience store when she was confronted by a bad guy who stuck a gun in her face to rob her. He won’t be doing that again.
Thankfully for this young woman, my home state of Arizona has arguably the strongest “Castle Doctrine” and “Stand Your Ground” laws in the nation. If she was in fear for her life, and there are witnesses to testify to that, she won’t be charged. Not even with littering.
Thankfully, she was carrying concealed weapon and one of the other features of gun laws here in Arizona is that you’re not required to have a permit to carry concealed. We don’t know whether or not she did have a permit, but she obviously knew how to use the gun that was in the holster “just in case.”
